Biographies
Forbes Higman, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Forbes Higman has spent the last 8 years building solutions based on
Microsoft products for small-to-middle-market companies. Forbes was
selected by Microsoft for Case Study Installations for four generations
of Small Business Server. The SBS 2003 study was chosen to be presented
by Steve Balmer at the World Wide Partner summit for the launch of SBS
2003. Forbes presented numerous sessions at the summit on security of
SBS, ROI associated with SBS, and Competitive Linux situations. He authored
a white paper detailing integration of Small Business Server and Terminal
Server for Microsoft. He has participated in various TAP programs including
the Windows XP Service Pack 2 Technology Adoption Program (TAP), and
Beta test programs for Windows NT4 Terminal server, Windows 2000 server,
Windows 2003 server, Windows Server for Small Business Server 2003,
Virtual Server, and Windows 2003 SP1.
Dan Vos, Co-Founder & Chief Data Officer
As Chief Data Officer, Dan Vos is responsible for enterprise-wide data
processing & data mining. Palador recognizes the importance of information
technology as well as business intelligence, data integration and data
processing to the fundamental functioning of everyday business. Our
clients receive the benefit of such an approach to business practice.
The creation and implementation of data strategy is crucial to the success
of not only Palador but its clients as well. Prior to co-founding Palador,
Dan had been developing sophisticated applications since 1999. As a
professional consultant in the software industry, an extensive project
background has polished his understanding and knowledge of how the IT
world functions. Dan has an established reputation for quickly adapting
to demanding project requirements and development schedules to yield
results for clients. Included in his accomplishments are creating applications
for high profile events at Microsoft such as the CEO Summit and the
annual Financial Analysts Meeting along with countless others. He has
a thorough knowledge of both Web-based and desktop software development
architecture and strategies. Mr. Vos currently has a focus on .NET technologies
from Microsoft that include C#, ASP.NET, Web Services and investigative
work on Visual Studio 2005 beta 2. His background also encompasses SQL,
VB, HTML, XML, Java Script and CSS languages.
Benjamin Robbins, Co-Founder & Chief Knowledge Officer
As Chief Knowledge Officer, Benjamin is responsible for ensuring that
the organization maximizes the value it achieves through knowledge.
Mr. Robbins helps organizations maximize the returns on investment in
knowledge (people, processes and intellectual capital), exploit their
intangible assets (know-how, patents, customer relationships), repeat
successes, share best practices, improve innovation, and avoid knowledge
loss after process restructuring. Before helping to start Palador Benjamin
spent the last several years as a software architect specializing in
project scope definition, business process analysis, application feature
development, testing and quality assurance. He has over 10 years of
development experience with C#, Visual Basic, .NET platform development,
COM and ActiveX component development, and is experienced in web application
development using ASP.NET , VBScript, JavaScript, HTML/DHTML and XML.
For the last 6 years he has worked in a leadership role on a wide variety
of application development projects. He has a track record demonstrating
the ability to successfully define application scope and manage application
development life cycles and development teams. Benjamin has successfully
completed 16 full product release cycles. His involvement included extensive
project management, deployment and configuration management, Quality
Assurance management, and coordination of third party relationships.
For the last year and half Benjamin has been directly responsible for
the successful definition, delivery, and life cycle management of a
high volume application used by a Seattle based freight company. Since
the go live date last year, the application has processed over
80,000 customer orders and is used to track every aspect of customer
interaction, including quotes, orders, Web-based shipment tracking,
invoicing, customer service, and EDI capability. This is just one example
of his ability to deliver projects that directly support and enhance
real world business needs.
