• Position: Software Developer

  Palador is looking for a full-time Software Developer to work in our downtown Seattle office. This position will be responsible for architecting, developing and maintaining applications. We specialize in building custom applications that utilize database solutions including, data driven applications, data reporting interfaces, data integration and other data intensive applications.
  Technical Skills Required:

  A minimum of 2 years professional experience with Microsoft technologies including C#, SQL Server 2008 (experience with SQL reporting services and integration/analysis services is a plus), ASP.NET MVC and the .NET Framework. A proven knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, XSLT, XSD and XAML is a plus. Past experience creating user interfaces using .NET Framework Win Forms and Web Forms is beneficial for this position. We are also working with WPF and Silverlight user interfaces in our project work. Applicants must have demonstrated understanding of designing and creating applications and a working knowledge of database interaction and database programming.

  In addition to general programming skills, Palador is seeking someone that can assist with writing customization code for Windows SharePoint Services hosted on the Windows Server platform. Applicants are not required to have SharePoint knowledge or past experience to apply for the position.

  Additional Skills Desired:

  Successful candidates will possess a wide base of development knowledge to solve complex problems that may span code, configuration and deployment practices.

  Candidate must be a team player with a strong work ethic and strong communication skills. Leadership/mentoring experience is a big plus.

• Position: System Administrator

  Palador is looking for a full-time System Administrator with strong virtualization skills focused on the Hyper-V platform. A successful candidate will be highly motivated, organized, adaptable, and possess common-sense practicality.
  This position will be responsible for implementing and maintaining production networks at client locations and internal system resources to support software development and testing efforts. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual who enjoys learning and working with new technologies such as Window Server 2008 R2, server virtualization utilizing Microsoft’s Hyper-V technologies, Active Directory, SAN Storage, scripting with Power Shell, as well as other technologies.

  Successful candidates will be comfortable meeting directly with clients to gather requirements and implement solutions.

  Responsibilities:

  • System administration for Windows Server 2008 R2 including Active Directory.
  • Install and maintain servers and network infrastructure including e-mail, SQL Servers, Web servers, application servers, network switches and firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data loss prevention systems.
  • Working closely with teams to promote and build infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows Server and network issues.
  • Perform and document system operations processes and procedures, including installation and testing of system upgrades, failover, and configuration.
  • Communicate issues clearly to business and technical groups inside and outside of the company.
  • New server setup and hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.

  Palador is looking for a full-time Test Engineer to work in our downtown Seattle office. We specialize in building custom applications that utilize database solutions including, data driven applications, data reporting interfaces, data integration and other data intensive applications.

  Responsibilities:

  • Writes, maintains and executes automated and manual test scripts, and reports product anomalies when found.
  • Writes, maintains and executes test plans.
  • Compiles and publishes lab status reports.
  • Performs detailed analysis of test results and adjusts test cases or logs bugs accordingly.
  • Provides product specification reviews aimed at bug prevention.
  • Provides proactive testing aimed at bug prevention.
  • Performs basic computer configuration testing
  • Performs application compatibility testing
  • Performs basic network and audio/visual cabling and equipment setup
  • Candidate must be a motivated, self‐starting, fast learner with acute attention to detail.
  • Candidate must be self‐organized and work independently to complete duties and manage time on a flexible schedule.

  Required Skills:

  • Candidate must have a working knowledge of personal computer hardware and peripherals
  • Candidate must have an understanding of TCP/IP traffic, connection, and network sniffing tools.
  • Candidate must have an understanding of digital Audio and Video files.
  • Candidate must have an understanding of multicast Mpeg streams (RTP/RTSP/UDP).
  • Candidate must have a general knowledge of applications software, operating systems networking and network navigation.
  • Candidate must be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Candidate must have an understanding of XAML.
  • Candidate must have knowledge of and experience in software testing principles and tools.
  • Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree, technical training certification, or Associate's degree or equivalent work experience/training (i.e. experience with testing through at least one full software product development cycle)
  • Candidate must have knowledge of A/V systems setup.
  • Candidate must have experience working with AV analyzers, multi‐meter and other AV test equipment.
  • Candidate must have knowledge of HDMI/HDCP and associated test tools
  • Candidate must have knowledge of AMX control systems.
  • Knowledge of Windows interface guidelines is preferred.
  • Knowledge of automated test tools (e.g. Telerik) preferred.
